Italian Green Beans

  • Fresh Green Beans
    1lb
  • Garlic
    5cloves
  • Hot Pepper
    1sprinkle
  • Salt
    1tsp
  • Crushed Tomatoes(15 ounce size)
    1/4can
  • Fresh Cut Celery Leaves
  • Olive Oil(for frying)
  • Water
    1cup

Green beans stewed with crushed tomatoes and garlic.

Instructions

  1. Clean and cut ends off green beans.
  2. Heat oil in pot. (Don’t forget the bread to remove oil smell. Place a piece of bread in oil and cook until brown, then remove.)
  3. Add garlic in whole and cook about 1 minute.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes.
  5. Cook on high.
  6. Add fresh celery leaves.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Add water, salt and green beans.
  9. Boil and reduce heat to medium.
  10. Sprinkle in hot pepper.
  11. Cook until beans are tender.
