  • Lemons(peeled)
    11whole
  • 190 Proof Grain Alcohol
    1liter
  • White Sugar
    2lbs
  • Water
    1 1/4liter

Homemade lemon liqueur.

Instructions

  1. Place peeled lemons in a very large bowl or pot.
  2. Add grain alcohol to cover lemons.
  3. Let sit for about 30 hours stirring often.
  4. In a large cooking pot, put sugar and water.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Let cool completely.
  7. Pour over lemons and mix.
  8. Squeeze out each lemon completely in bowl.
  9. Once all lemons are fully juiced stir mixture.
  10. Pour mixture thru a sift/strainer into a bottle for storing.
  11. Chill.
  12. Drink limoncello over ice and enjoy.
