Nonni’s Fried Peppers

  • Italian Peppers
    3long
  • Oil(for frying)
  • Salt(to taste)

Traditional dried and fried Italian peppers.

Instructions

  1. String peppers to hang in dry in a cool, dry place (like Nonni’s cellar) - for about 2 days.
  2. Dry them with a towel.
  3. Cut peppers in half, discarding seeds.
  4. Heat oil in frying pan.
  5. Add peppers to oil to fry, quickly flipping them.
  6. Remove once they crisp up.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Let fully cool before enjoying!
