Homemade Dough

Ingredients

Dough

  • Flour
    13lbs
  • Warm to Hot Water
    20cups
  • Salt
    1/4cup
  • Butter
    3tbsp
  • Warm Water(for yeast)
    1cup

The traditional homemade dough used for Easter Pizza and bread.

Instructions

  1. Melt yeast in 1 cup of warm water - add some flour and salt.
  2. Add 1 cup of water at a time.
  3. Make a well of flour on a large clean surface.
  4. Pour melted yeast into the center of the well of flour.
  5. Knead yeast into the flour, adding water in 1/2 cup intervals.
  6. Continue process until all of the flour is used. (You may not use all of the water)
  7. Cover with a towel or cloth for 1 hour - allowing the dough to rise.
  8. Knead the dough some more. (Additional warm water may be required)
  9. Cover with a towel or cloth for 1 hour - allowing the dough to rise.
  10. Cut the dough into smaller pieces for loaves of bread or Easter Pizza!
