Italian Cookies

Ingredients

Cookies

  • Eggs
    6jumbo
  • Vegetable Oil
    1/2cup
  • Sugar
    1cup
  • Anisette
    1tsp
  • Vanilla Extract
    1tbsp
  • Flour
    4cups
  • Baking Powder
    2tbsp
  • Salt
    1/2tsp

Frosting

  • Confectioners Sugar
    1box
  • Butter(melted)
    1tbsp
  • Extract(Lemon, Orange, or Almond)
    1tsp
  • Colored Sprinkles
  • Milk(Add 1 tbsp at a time for consistency)

Classic Italian cookies with a simple glaze and sprinkles.

Instructions

Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix eggs, oil, vanilla extract and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Add Anisette, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Form 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Let cool on a wire rack.

Frosting

  1. Mix sugar, butter and choice of extract together in a bowl.
  2. Add milk 1 tbsp at time until desired consistency is met.
  3. If too watery, add more sugar.
  4. Dip the top of each cookie into the frosting mixture, and immediately cover with sprinkles.
  5. Let cookies fully dry before enjoying!
