Biftec Encebollado (Pounded Meat)

  • Breakfast Steak or Top Sirloin(thinly sliced)
    2lbs
  • White Onion
    1large
  • Lemons(juiced)
    2
  • Soy Sauce
    1cup
  • Vegetable Oil
    1/4cup
  • Black Pepper(to taste)

Thinly pounded steak marinated in lemon and soy sauce, topped with onions.

Instructions

  1. With a mallet, pound each piece of meat until very thin.
  2. Marinade meat with lemon juice, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  3. Thinly slice onion and add to marinade.
  4. Marinade at least 6 hours or more.
  5. In a skillet, heat oil and quickly fry meat one piece at a time, keep warm.
  6. In the same skillet, add onions and leftover marinade and cook until onions are cooked. Pour over cooked meat.
