- Tomato Sauce1cup
- Onion(chopped)1/4cup
- Salt1 1/2tsp
- Canned Green Chilies(chopped)10oz
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese(grated)1/2lb

A hearty soup-like salad with bacon, green chilies and cheddar cheese.
Instructions
- Brown the bacon in a large kettle.
- Add the potato cubes and stir until they are coated with dripping.
- Add the water, tomato sauce, onion and salt.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for one hour.
- Place the green chilies and grated cheese in six soup bowls, spoon hot soup over each of them.
