Stuffed Peppers

  • Sweet Red Peppers
    4
  • Top or Lean Ground Beef
    1lb
  • Onion
    1small
  • Flour
    1tsp
  • Water
    1/2cup
  • Ketchup
    1/4cup
  • Salt(to taste)
  • Pepper(to taste)
  • Oil(for sauteing)

Sweet red peppers stuffed with a savory ground beef and onion mixture.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash pepper and cut out stems.
  3. Cut off top 1/2 inch of the pepper and set aside.
  4. Clean out seeds.
  5. Saute onions in a large skillet for 1 minute.
  6. Add beef and cook thoroughly.
  7. Add the flour and half of water to thicken the meat.
  8. Fill each pepper with the meat until full to the top.
  9. Cover with pepper tops.
  10. Place in deep baking dish.
  11. Combine remaining water and ketchup.
  12. Pour mixture on top of each of the peppers.
  13. Cover lightly with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  14. Let cool before enjoying!
