Ingredients

Sauce & Meat

  • Crushed Tomatoes(Contadina or Progresso)
    28oz
  • Tomato Paste
    6oz
  • Super Lean Ground Beef
    1 1/2lbs

Filling & Noodles

  • Lasagna Noodles
    1/2box
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    1lb
  • Ricotta Cheese
    16oz
  • Eggs
    2large
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Dried Parsley

Classic meat lasagna with a rich ricotta and mozzarella filling.

Instructions

  1. Simmer the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste for about 1 1/2 hours. Season as you like.
  2. Cook noodles according to the package.
  3. Cook the ground beef and drain.
  4. Put the ricotta cheese into a bowl.
  5. Mix in the 2 eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt and pepper.
  6. Use a 13 X 9 baking pan. Spray with cooking spray.
  7. Spread sauce on the bottom of the pan.
  8. Add one layer of noodles and one layer of ground beef.
  9. Layer one half of the ricotta cheese.
  10. Layer the mozzarella cheese.
  11. Layer with some more sauce.
  12. Repeat the layering process one more time.
  13. Cover the last layer with some more noodles and them more sauce.
  14. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
  15. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 350.
  16. Remove the cover and bake another 5 minutes until brown.
