Ingredients

Dough

  • Sugar
    3/4cup
  • Butter
    1/2cup
  • Egg
    1
  • Vanilla
    1/2tsp
  • Flour
    1 1/2cups
  • Salt
    1/4tsp
  • Baking Soda
    1/4tsp
  • Cream of Tartar
    1/4tsp

Coating

  • Sugar
    2tbsp
  • Ground Cinnamon
    2tsp

Soft butter cookies rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter.
  2. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar.
  4. Stir into butter mixture.
  5. In another small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Turn oven to 375. Grease cookie sheets.
  7. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  8. Roll each ball in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  9. Put balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
  10. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
